Pirates' Jung Ho Kang: Expected to be in Tuesday's lineup

Manager Clint Hurdle said that Kang (hand) will be in Tuesday's lineup for the series opener against the Diamondbacks, Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Analysis:

Kang left Saturday's game with hand discomfort and was unable to crack the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Pirates, but it seems that Hurdle is confident enough in his third baseman's health that he can already say he'll play Tuesday. Naturally, things can change from day to day with nagging injuries like this, meaning his appearance in Tuesday's contest isn't completely confirmed until the starting lineup is released. However, owners should expect to see him Tuesday against Diamondbacks starter Shelby Miller, who holds a rough 6.64 ERA on the season.
