Indians' Danny Salazar: Struggles in losing effort Sunday

Salazar (4-3) allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings to take the loss Sunday at the Red Sox.

Analysis:

Salazar struggled to keep Red Sox hitters off the basepaths, and burned through 109 pitches before finishing five innings. This was the first time in his nine starts that he allowed more than three runs in an outing, and his ERA rose to 2.32. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Orioles.
