Watch: Harper whips bat to ground in disgust after pop-up

MLB / Twitter

Despite his fun-loving mantra, Bryce Harper is not having a fun month of baseball.

The Washington Nationals outfielder popped up to end the sixth inning against Miami Marlins pitcher Bryan Morris, and he wasn't happy about it, immediately whipping his bat to the ground.

After opening the season in fine form in April by slashing .286/.406/.714 with nine home runs, Harper's frustrations may stem from a much quieter May, where he's been limited to a .231/.506/.365 slash line and only two home runs.

The 23-year-old star was also held without a hit Sunday against the Marlins, though he did pick up an RBI on a sacrifice fly.
