Blue Jays' Aaron Sanchez: Turns in another quality start in Friday victory

Sanchez struck out seven and surrendered eight hits and two earned runs over seven innings in Friday's 9-3 victory over the Twins.

Analysis:

The 23-year-old righty bounced back from a rough effort versus the Rangers in his last start to neutralize a Twins lineup that has been showing some signs of life. He got 65 of 96 pitches across the strike zone and secured first-pitch strikes on 21 of 28 hitters. It marked Sanchez's fourth quality start in his last five trips to the mound and the first time since his initial start of the season that he didn't issue a free pass. He's now sporting a solid 3.20 ERA to go along with a 4-1 record.
