Mets' Matt Harvey: On track to make next start
Harvey could have his next start pushed back from Tuesday, but he is on track to start a game during the Nationals series, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
Analysis:
The Mets seem convinced that Harvey's healthy -- the 27-year-old reportedly said in a team meeting Friday that he wants to keep pitching and fight through his struggles. Apparently, the Mets are considering starting Harvey on Monday on short rest since he only threw 61 pitches during Thursday's outing. He was clobbered for nine runs (six earned) over 2.2 innings against Washington on Thursday, raising his ERA to 5.77.
