Royals' Eric Hosmer: Smashes eight homer versus Red Sox

Hosmer went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in the first game of a doubleheader against the Red Sox on Wednesday afternoon.

Analysis:

The bomb was his eighth of the season. Similar to last year, Hosmer is off to a wonderful start. He is hitting .333/.395/.565 with 17 extra-base hits, 20 RBI and 21 runs. Last season, he hit .310 in April and smashed seven homers in the first two months.
