Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Could be activated Friday

Choo (strained right calf) could be activated Friday against the Astros in Houston, MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan reports.

Analysis:

He will play Wednesday in a rehab game with Triple-A Round Rock, and if all goes well, that could be the final game in his rehab assignment. Choo is 3-for-8 with a home run, a double and a walk in his last two rehab games. Owners should prepare to activate him this weekend, at which point he should displace Ryan Rua in the lineup.
