Not even Bryce Harper can figure out Thor.

New York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard was lights-out for his club Tuesday against the Washington Nationals, earning his 10th and final strikeout by fanning Harper with a 91-mph slider in the dirt.

It wasn't the only time Syndergaard made Harper look foolish on the night, as he also froze the outfielder in the fourth with a ferocious 100-mph fastball on the outside corner.

"He throws 100 miles per hour," Harper told reporters. "He's going to come after me. I know he's not scared."

Syndergaard was complimentary of Harper as well.

"He's an unbelievable ballplayer, great athlete, very talented," the 23-year-old said. "I can see why a lot of people have been walking him. But I go out there and I was pitching to my strengths and I just went right after him."

Harper can take solace in the fact that he was far from the only National to be stumped by Syndergaard.

The Mets went on to win 2-0 on the back of Syndergaard's five-hit, seven-inning performance, putting them a half-game behind Washington for the NL East lead.
