New York Mets fans haven't forgotten Daniel Murphy.

The second baseman, who hit a home run in a record-breaking six consecutive playoff games last year for the Mets, returned to Citi Field for the first time Tuesday as a member of the rival Washington Nationals - and was showered in applause by the home crowd.

Murphy spent nearly 10 years in the Mets' organization before leaving as a free agent this past offseason.
