The Houston Astros' record isn't the only thing coming up short these days.
Houston promoted 5-foot-6 speedster Tony Kemp from Triple-A Fresno to replace the struggling Preston Tucker, who was optioned on Sunday.
It's no surprise Kemp draws comparisons to Astros second baseman Jose Altuve, but since he's stapled to his position, Kemp will head to the outfield.
With his addition, Houston now has two of the three shortest players in the bigs, with San Diego's Alexi Amarista being the only other player listed at 5-foot-6.
Kemp, a fifth-round draft pick in 2013, was hitting .298/.410/.405 in 34 games at Fresno, swiping four bases while knocking four triples and drawing 21 walks.
