Ryan Zimmerman's first career inside-the-park home run almost cost the Marlins a pair of outfielders.

Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna chased down Zimmerman's fourth-inning drive off Jose Fernandez into the gap in right-center at Nationals Park, before crossing each other up and narrowly avoiding a full-speed crash.

Replays showed Stanton's leg catching Ozuna before he uncontrollably slammed into the fence and appeared to hit his head off the ground. Both players remained on the ground while Zimmerman raced around the bases to score.

The pair remained in the game, though Ozuna was slow to his feet and needed help from Marlins trainers before insisting he was OK.

Zimmerman's hustle play marked the third inside-the-park homer in Nationals history, and first since Willie Harris in 2010.
