Red Sox's David Ortiz: Out of lineup Sunday

Ortiz is out of the lineup Sunday against the Astros, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.

Analysis:

Ortiz came through with a big game Saturday, going 3-for-5 with a double, his 10th homer of the season and three RBI in the win. Manager John Farrell is likely just holding Ortiz out for maintenance purposes, so expect to see the 40-year-old slugger back in the lineup Monday against the Royals. Hanley Ramirez will serve as the DH in place of Ortiz in Sunday's series finale.
