Harper using 'make baseball fun again' bat decal

MLB.com

Bryce Harper is back to having fun. Again.

The Washington Nationals superstar snapped his modest power drought Friday with a go-ahead two-run shot in the seventh inning against the Marlins, and on Saturday, he resumed his role as baseball's fun ambassador with a bat decal celebrating his new favorite phrase.

The red, white, and blue "MBFA 2016" sticker follows the politically inspired theme of his "Make baseball fun again" campaign, which Harper instigated during spring training after saying baseball had become "tired" and that the sport's unwritten "code" prevented him and his peers from expressing themselves.

In the weeks to follow, Harper wore a Donald Trump-inspired hat during a postgame interview, used an emoji-themed bat decal, and stole second base with gloves in his mouth.

Saturday's publicity stunt follows a not-so-fun week for the reigning NL MVP, who was suspended one game for returning to the field and cursing at an umpire after already being ejected.
