Free-agent right-hander Tim Lincecum is leaning toward signing with the Los Angeles Angels, MLB Network's Jon Heyman reports.
Heyman writes a decision could happen as soon as Monday.
Lincecum, 31, has had interest from a number of clubs since pitching in a showcase at the beginning of May, with the Angels, Chicago White Sox, and San Francisco Giants as his reported best options.
The four-time All-Star, who impressed at his showcase with 90- to 91-mph heat and had his secondary pitches working, owns a record of 108-83 with a 3.61 ERA while striking out 9.3 hitters per nine innings during his nine-year career in the bigs.
