Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman: Strands 14 runners in Sunday's extra-inning loss
Zimmerman went 1-for-7 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 13-inning loss to the Cubs, stranding an incredible 14 base runners.
Analysis:
The Cubs refused to give Bryce Harper anything to hit, walking him six times and hitting him with a pitch in his seventh plate appearance, but Zimmerman failed to make them pay for it, as he twice came up empty with the bases loaded. He's now hitting just .236/.293/.340 on the season, and manager Dusty Baker may have to consider removing Zimmerman from the cleanup spot if he doesn't heat up soon.
