Pirates' Jung Ho Kang: Makes amazing season debut Friday
Kang went 2-for-4 with a pair of homers and three RBI against the Cardinals on Friday.
Analysis:
After the game, Kang said he felt confident even after making three outs (including hitting into a double play) on the first two pitches he saw. He took the third pitch he saw to right field for an opposite-field, solo homer and then capped the night with a monster shot to the upper deck in left field. Prior to the game, manager Clint Hurdle said he would play Kang in two straight games, then rest him for the third. The Pittsburgh manager might have to rethink Kang's playing time after Friday's stunning debut.
