After losing his job with ESPN amid controversial words posted on social media, former big-league pitcher Curt Schilling has come up with a new way to generate some income.

The 49-year-old is offering fans the opportunity to watch games with him on Periscope.

Schilling will offer his own analysis and commentary for those who join him and he's doing a test run Sunday when the Washington Nationals take on the Chicago Cubs on MLB Network.

And while this seems like a great way for Schilling fans to enjoy the company of the former star, there is a catch.

Schilling posted the following on Facebook in commenting about his new business venture;

"But the gist of it will be an annual fee to watch games every weekend with me, and Steeler football as well as Bruins hockey."

This isn't the first time Schilling has tried a start-up. In 2006, he created the video game company Green Monster Games, which later changed its name to 38 Studios.

The company was a massive failure and eventually ended up defaulting on a $75-million loan given to it from the state of Rhode Island.
