The pitching showcase of Tim Lincecum on Friday went well enough that the former two-time Cy Young winner has already piqued the interest of a number of clubs.

Lincecum is drawing early interest from the Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants, and San Diego Padres reports MLB Network's Jon Heyman.

The 31-year-old, who showcased himself at the Giants spring training facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., was clocked in the 89-to-92 miles-per-hour range and featured a sharp breaking ball and changeup.

Heyman writes the Giants are expected to have interest in Lincecum as a reliever, although "The Freak" is expected to find starting opportunities after his showcase.

"I prefer whichever team needs me," Lincecum told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez. after his showcase's conclusion Friday. "Wherever, I've got to keep my doors open.

"To be honest, I feel like I could pitch for a good five or six more years until I can't anymore at this point," he said. "I'm nowhere near that point."

Lincecum - who underwent hip surgery in September - could reportedly sign before next week according to FOX Sports' Jon Morosi.

He made 15 starts for the Giants last season, posting a 4.13 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 76 1/3 innings of work.

Over his career in the bigs, the four-time All-Star owns a record of 108-83 with a 3.61 ERA while striking out 9.3 hitters per nine innings.
