Cubs' Jason Heyward: Resting with right wrist soreness

Heyward's day off Monday is due to a sore right wrist, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Analysis:

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said that he doesn't anticipate that Heyward's absence will be a lengthy one, although the injury has bothered him since the opening week of the season, according to ESPN Chicago's Jesse Rogers.
