Orioles' J.J. Hardy: Out 6-8 weeks with hairline fracture in foot
Hardy (foot) will be out for 6-to-8 weeks due to a hairline fracture in his foot, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Analysis:
Hardy fouled a ball off his foot in the fourth inning of Sunday's contest, and although the injury was initially labeled as a foot contusion, a CT scan revealed something much worse. He's on pace for a return sometime in mid-to-late June. Ryan Flaherty is expected to be called up to take his roster spot, although Paul Janish is also an option.
