Miami Marlins left-hander Adam Conley was pulled from Friday's game after throwing 116 pitches through 7 2/3 no-hit innings against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Conley finished the day with four walks and seven strikeouts.

While his manager, Don Mattingly, said removing the 25-year-old was an "easy" decision, Conley sounded like he wanted to try to finish the job despite understanding the concerns.

"There's a big part of me that did (have a problem with the decision)," Conley told Rick Braun of the Miami Herald. "I don't ever like coming out of a game, no matter what the circumstances are. But considering where I was at in the game, I knew what was going on. I knew coming into the eighth I was at about 100, so I was really, really happy he let me go out for the eighth."

Conley was replaced by Jose Urena, who misplayed a comebacker that was ruled an error to continue the Marlins' no-hit bid into the ninth inning. A bloop single off the bat of Jonathan Lucroy with one out in the ninth ended the combined no-hitter.
