MLB Today: Greinke vs. Story, Archer vs. Toronto's big trio

A look at what's happening all around the majors Saturday:

SAME STORY?

Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke gets a second chance to face Rockies rookie Trevor Story. On opening day, in his big league debut, Story hit two home runs in three at-bats off Greinke. Story got off to a torrid homer pace, but lately has been striking out at an exceptionally high rate. Their first matchup was in Arizona and this meeting is in the desert, too.

TORONTO TRIO TROUBLE

Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Josh Donaldson have done plenty of damage to opposing pitchers. But Chris Archer of the Rays has often had his way with the Toronto trio - the Blue Jays sluggers are a combined 14-93 (.151) with 18 strikeouts vs. the Tampa Bay star. Encarnacion has hit three home runs off Archer, the most he's allowed to anyone, going into this start at Tropicana Field.

WE'LL SEE

Cubs slugger Kris Bryant could return to the lineup when Atlanta visits Wrigley Field. Bryant had a mildly sprained right ankle after running the bases Thursday and didn't play in Friday's win over the Braves.

ZIM'S THE MANN

Tigers newcomer Jordan Zimmermann tries to extend his string of dominant performances when he pitches at Target Field. The right-hander is 4-0 and has won all of his starts with an 0.35 ERA since leaving Washington as a free agent and signing with Detroit.

TRY AGAIN

Dodgers right-hander Ross Stripling makes his fifth start in the big leagues, aiming for his first win. He pitched 7 1/3 hitless innings in his debut earlier this month at San Francisco and wound up with a no-decision. The 26-year-old takes a 3.22 ERA into this outing at Dodger Stadium vs. the Padres.
