NEW YORK - Minnesota Twins minor league outfielder Reynaldo Rodriguez has been suspended 80 games without pay for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.

The commissioner's office said Thursday the suspension takes effect immediately.

Rodriguez tested positive for metabolites of stanozolol, violating the minor league drug prevention and treatment program.

He plays for the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings of the International League.
