Bautista jokes he'll get suspended for bat flips

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista is using Friday's involuntary day off to air his grievances with Major League Baseball.

Shortly after being informed that his suspension appeal was denied, Bautista took to Twitter in search of a ticket to Friday's Game 6 between the Raptors and Cavaliers in Toronto. Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban obliged - under one condition:

Bautista, whose famous bat flip in Game 5 of last year's ALDS ignited the rivalry that led to the May 15 brawl with the Rangers, turned down Subban's offer in fear of additional retribution from the league office.

During media availability before Friday's game against the Red Sox, Bautista ripped MLB for upholding his one-game ban.

"I think they owe (an explanation) to fans who pay a lot of money to come watch me play," he explained to reporters. "It's so unfounded. It doesn't have any basis. I can't figure it out."
