Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left Tuesday's game against the New York Yankees with right quad tightness and will be re-evaluated Wednesday, according to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi.

It's unclear when Tulowitzki suffered the injury, though he walked and then stole second base during the top half of the seventh. He was replaced by Ryan Goins at shortstop prior to the bottom of the seventh, and Russell Martin entered the game to fill the void at second base.

"Hopefully I’m good to go tomorrow," Tulowitzki told Sportsnet. "We’ll see how sore it is."

The injury comes just as the slumping Tulowitzki was beginning to show life at the plate. The five-time All-Star had hits in five straight games, including Tuesday, to raise his average by 13 points to .209. He's slugging .462 with four homers in May.
