Span has put together a modest five-game hitting streak after opening the year 4-for-23. He has also scored a run in each of the past five games, which is the exact reason the Giants signed him to be their leadoff hitter. Span is one of those guys that may have been dropped after a slow start, but he should be an excellent source of runs and stolen bases all season, especially if his current .271 OBP creeps back up to his career mark of .351.
