Nothing is going right for Shelby Miller since being traded in the offseason to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Miller left Saturday's contest with the San Diego Padres in the second inning after appearing to scrape his right hand on the dirt while following through on a pitch.

The D-Backs later announced the righty sustained cuts on both knuckles of his right pointer finger, and the evidence was visible on his uniform.

Miller was tagged for two runs on two hits and had walked three batters before exiting. He entered the contest having allowed 10 earned runs in 11 innings of work.

Miller was acquired in a blockbuster five-player trade with the Atlanta Braves last December which sent top prospect Dansby Swanson back the other way to Atlanta.
