The Blue Jays split four games versus the Los Angeles Angels in a four-game series that finished last night with a 2-1 Toronto loss in Anaheim. It was the first series that the Blue Jays did not lose this season. The Blue Jays are now an MLB-worst 5-14 and are still looking for their first consecutive wins of the season.

The Cardinals won 3-of-4 in Milwaukee against the Brewers, and have now won six of their last seven games after starting the season 3-9. St. Louis has scored more than six runs in a game just once all season (April 8 vs. Cincinnati).

This will be the sixth interleague series between the Blue Jays and Cardinals, and first in St. Louis since 2011 (Toronto swept three games). The Cardinals lead the all-time series, 8-7.
