The Rangers could go with Colby Lewis in Game 3, who has made eight career postseason starts (although none since 2011); Lewis threw 3.0 innings of relief for the Rangers in Game 4 of last year's ALDS against Toronto. Overall, Lewis is 4-1 with a 2.38 ERA in the playoffs. However, Lewis is 3-6 with a 6.24 ERA in 12 career starts versus the Blue Jays, allowing at least one home run in 11 of the 12 starts.

Texas instead might turn to Martin Perez, who has just one career postseason start (against Toronto in Game 3 of last year's ALDS). In that game, Perez allowed four runs (all earned) in 5.0 innings as the Blue Jays won 5-1 and began their comeback to win the series. Perez did make two starts against Toronto this season and, despite going 0-1, allowed only two runs (one earned) over 11.1 innings pitched.

Aaron Sanchez will be making his first career postseason start, but he did throw 7.1 scoreless innings of relief over nine games in last year's playoffs. Sanchez went 15-2 with a 3.00 ERA this season, his first full season as a starter. In two starts versus the Rangers this season, Sanchez allowed nine runs in 13.2 innings pitched while taking a no-decision in both starts (Toronto went 1-1 in those games).

Blue Jays look to make quick work of Rangers

TORONTO (AP)  Josh Donaldson's mad dash moved the Blue Jays into the next round of the playoffs.
Donaldson raced home from second base after Rougned Odor bounced a double-play relay in the 10th inning and Toronto beat the Texas Rangers 7-6 on Sunday night to sweep their AL Division Series.
