The Angels beat the Yankees, 2-0, on Sunday in Anaheim, salvaging one win in the three-game matchup over the weekend. The Halos have lost 10 straight road contests -- their longest road losing streak since a franchise-record 14-gamer in 1969.

Toronto lost, 3-2, in Cleveland on Sunday, dropping two of three over the weekend to the Tribe, with all the games decided by a single run. The Jays are just 14-22 (.389) in one-run affairs this year (5th worst in MLB).

Tonight marks the first meeting of the season between the Angels and Blue Jays. Dating to May 21, 2015, Toronto has won four straight games vs. Los Angeles by a combined score of 44-14.

Tyler Skaggs allowed four runs (all earned) in just 3.1 IP last Wednesday against the Mariners, taking the loss, and dropping to 0-2 with an 11.88 ERA in his last two outings. Skaggs is 1-1 with a 3.07 ERA in two career starts against Toronto.

R.A. Dickey went 5.0 innings and allowed just one run eight days ago vs. the Yankees, but the offense couldn't score, and he was saddled with a loss. Including three straight victories, Dickey is 6-2 with a 3.88 ERA in 10 career starts against the Angels.

Edwin Encarnacion hit his 35th homer of the season on Saturday, and has now recorded 35+ HR and 100+ RBI in four of his last five MLB campaigns. Encarnacion is 8-for-16 with two bombs and 10 RBI in his last four games vs. the Angels.

Pujols reached the 100-RBI mark for the 13th time, the fifth player in history to achieve the feat, Mike Trout had three hits and matched his season-high with four RBIs, and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-3 on Thursday night.
