The last six games between the Phillies and the Braves have been in Philadelphia, with the Phillies winning the last four in a row. The Phillies starting pitcher has recorded a quality start in all six of those games.

The Phillies are coming off of a loss to the Marlins in Miami, 11-1, marking the 13th straight game in which Philadelphia has failed to score more than four runs. This is the longest such streak by any team in the majors this season.

The Braves snapped a five-game losing streak by sweeping the Twins on the road in their most recent (two-game) series. In the last game, Atlanta scored nine runs on 16 hits, and those 16 hits were the second-largest total it has tallied in any game this season.

Aaron Nola allowed six earned runs in just four innings in his last start, against the Pirates at PNC Park. It marked the fifth Nola start in his last six in which he has surrendered at least five earned runs. Before this stretch, Nola's ERA on the season was 2.98. During this six-start stretch, he owns a 10.73 ERA.

Matt Wisler lasted 5.1 innings while giving up six runs on Saturday in Colorado. This was the fourth consecutive road start that Nola has yielded six runs or more, sporting an 11.64 ERA and allowing nine home runs in those 19.1 innings.

Freddie Freeman went 4-for-4 on Wednesday with a home run and five RBI. This was his eighth game with three or more hits since June 13 (just two before that), and over that time, Freeman is slugging .671 with nine home runs and 14 doubles in 39 games.
