The Diamondbacks were blown out at home, 10-4, by the Blue Jays on Wednesday. They're now 4-15 in their last 19, with 14 of those games coming at home. Arizona might be looking forward to this trip, as they have a much better record on the road (23-20) than they do at home (17-35).

The Reds beat the Braves, 6-3, in the rubber match of the series in Cincinnati on Wednesday. They have won four of six since the All-Star break, and this series concludes a nine-game homestand before they play 15 out of the next 18 on the road.

This will be the first meeting between the teams this season. The Diamondbacks have taken the last five games between the teams, and eight of the last ten. Arizona has had success in Cincinnati recently, taking six of seven there since 2014.

Archie Bradley allowed just one run in 6.0 innings at home against the Dodgers on Saturday, and got a no-decision. He hasn't picked up a win since June 19. Bradley has a better road ERA (3.51) than he does at home (5.15). This will be Bradley's first career start against Cincinnati.

Dan Straily didn't get the win, but threw 7.0 shutout innings at home against the Brewers on Sunday. In arguably his best start of the season, he allowed only three hits and walked just one. This will be Straily's first career start against the Diamondbacks. He has a career 5.23 ERA against the NL West.

Since the All-Star break, Joey Votto is hitting .550, the best of any NL player (min. 10 PA), and .400 in the month of July. The only month of his career (min. 5 GP) that he has hit .400+ was July 2015.

CINCINNATI -- Sunday is a significant day for the Cincinnati Reds franchise with Ken Griffey Jr. being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
"He was my idol growing up," said Reds right-fielder Jay Bruce. "A couple of years (after being drafted by Cincinnati), I was playing center field and he was in right. Now I'm standing where he stood (at his former locker). It's unbelievable."

CINCINNATI (AP)  The Reds have finally started winning as trading time approaches.
Jay Bruce hit a three-run homer and barely missed another during one of Cincinnati's final home games before the non-waiver trade deadline, and the Reds beat the fading Arizona Diamondbacks 6-1 on Saturday night for a modest breakthrough.
