Cleveland owns a 14-5 (.737) record against Texas since the beginning of 2013, including a 7-2 (.778) mark at home. That is the Indians' best record overall against any AL team in that span.

The Indians lost at home Sunday, 6-4, to fall out of first place in the AL Central. Cleveland is 16-11 (.593) in May, tied for the second-best record in the AL behind Boston (16-10, .615).

The Indians are 8-0 in Josh Tomlin's eight starts this season. From 2010 to 2014, the Indians were 34-36 (.486) in Tomlin's starts, but Cleveland is now 16-2 (.889) in his starts since the beginning of last season.

Nomar Mazara recorded his 50th career hit Friday against the Pirates, in his 40th career game. That is the fewest games needed by a Rangers player to record 50 career hits in franchise history.

Derek Holland has recorded a quality start in each of his last two games but has been credited with the loss in each, as he has received just one total run of support. He now has three losses in quality starts this year.

CLEVELAND (AP)  Nomar Mazara hasn't played like a rookie in the first two months of the season for the Texas Rangers.
He hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning Monday night and Ian Desmond had a two-run shot in the first, as Texas beat the Cleveland Indians 9-2.
