The Orioles took two of three over the weekend in Anaheim, winning their second straight road series, and improving to 5-1 in their last six games away from Camden Yards overall. Baltimore has gone deep a total of 13 times during its current six-game road home run streak.

Houston was blown out, 9-2, at home by the Rangers on Sunday, extending its losing streak to four straight games. The Astros have had five different 3+ game losing streaks in 2016 -- tied for most of any team in baseball.

These clubs are meeting for the first time of the season tonight. The Orioles and Astros have played 14 times since the beginning of 2014, each team winning seven of those contests.

Chris Tillman went 6.1 innings and allowed just two runs (both earned) last Wednesday against the Mariners, picking up the victory, and winning his fifth straight start in a row. Tillman is 2-0 with a 1.32 ERA and .174 opponent BA in two career starts against the Astros at Minute Maid Park.

Doug Fister allowed three runs (all earned) in 6.1 IP last Wednesday against the White Sox, taking the win, and improving to 3-0 with a 3.08 ERA in four starts this month (1-3, 5.56 ERA in first four starts of 2016). Fister is 4-2 with a 4.85 ERA in seven career starts against the Orioles.

Jonathan Schoop went 5-for-11 (.455) with a home run and two RBI in three games over the weekend vs. the Angels. Schoop is batting .278 (0 HR, 1 RBI) in five career games against Houston.

Evan Gattis went 2-for-4 with a homer on Sunday vs. the Rangers, and enters this game batting .364 with three home runs and four RBI in six games since being recalled from the minors on May 17. Gattis is hitting .360 with two bombs and seven RBI in seven career games against the O's.

Lance McCullers recently took a step closer to returning to form for the Houston Astros, and earning his first win would prolong the wait for Kevin Gausman of the Baltimore Orioles.
McCullers looks to continue creeping toward the form of his breakout 2015 rookie campaign as the Astros go for a sweep of the visiting Orioles on Thursday night.
