The Braves defeated the Cubs, 4-3, in 10 innings yesterday, splitting two games in Chicago over the weekend, and improving to 2-2 in their last four games. Atlanta is 5-2 (.714) in its last seven road contests overall -- tied for the fifth-best road mark in the majors since April 15.

New York lost, 6-1, to the Giants at Citi Bank Field on Sunday, snapping its eight-game winning streak in the process. The Mets have recorded three 8+ game win streaks since the beginning of last season -- most of any team in baseball.

New York swept three straight from Atlanta at Turner Field last month, outscoring the Braves by a combined 17-7 in that series. Atlanta has won two straight and three of its last five games vs. the Mets at Citi Field.

Mike Foltynewicz is being called up from Triple-A Gwinnett to make his first start of the 2016 campaign tonight. Foltynewicz went 4-6 with a 5.68 ERA in 15 starts for the Braves last season.

Bartolo Colon allowed three runs (all earned) in 5.0 innings last Tuesday against the Reds, earning his second straight no-decision. Colon went 4-0 with a 3.66 ERA in five starts against Atlanta in 2015.

Nick Markakis drove in the winning run for the Braves yesterday, giving him a team-high 20 RBI on the season (tied for sixth best in the National League). Markakis has three game-winning RBI in 2016 -- the same total as all other Braves' hitters combined.

NEW YORK (AP)  Matched up against Matt Harvey and a streaking Mets team, Matt Wisler was the one in complete command on the mound.
Wisler wiped out New York with eight innings of one-hit ball and Mallex Smith hit a rare Atlanta homer off the scuffling Harvey, sending the Braves to a 3-0 victory Tuesday night.
