The Yankees beat the Braves, 20-6, at Turner Field yesterday, sweeping the three-game series by a combined score of 38-11. New York is the first team since the 2008 Phillies to score at least 20 runs twice in the same season (beat Rangers, 21-5, on July 28).

Boston lost, 5-4, to the Mets at Citi Field yesterday, snapping its three-game winning streak with the setback. The Red Sox are 8-4 in their last 12 contests -- tied for third best in the AL since August 18.

The Yankees have taken eight of 12 meetings with the Red Sox this season, and are 20-11 vs. Boston since the beginning of 2014 overall. New York hasn't lost a series at Fenway Park since 2013 (5-0 series record since).

Chase Headley went 3-for-3 with a homer and four RBI yesterday, ending up 6-for-11 (.545) with seven RBI overall in Atlanta during the three-game weekend set. Headley is batting .324 during his current nine-game hitting streak vs. the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
