The Angels dropped a 12-5 decision to the Blue Jays in Anaheim on Sunday, and have now lost four straight games by a combined score of 44-12. Los Angeles has allowed 27 runs in its last two contests -- tied for third most in back-to-back games in Halos' franchise history.

Detroit lost, 12-5, in Cincinnati last night, and has also dropped four straight games (by a combined score of 23-10). The Tigers have allowed 10+ runs on 12 occasions this season -- tied for third most in MLB.

The Angels swept four from the Tigers in these clubs first meeting of the season in Anaheim (May 28-31), and dating to last July, have won seven straight games in this series overall -- the longest active win streak of any MLB team vs. Detroit. The Tigers have scored two or fewer runs in six of their last seven games vs. the Halos.

Jered Weaver pitched 6.1 innings of shutout ball last Wednesday vs. the White Sox, earning the victory, and snapping his personal five-game losing streak (0-5 in previous six outings). Weaver is 2-1 with a 2.03 ERA in his last four starts against the Tigers at Comerica Park.
