Minnesota has lost two straight and six of its last eight games overall, while being held to two runs or fewer in five of those eight contests. The Twins have hit 16 home runs at home so far this month -- tied for the most in the majors this July.

Mike Pelfrey is 0-5 with a 6.87 ERA in his last seven starts and will be seeking his first win since June 7. Pelfrey will be making his second start against the Pirates this season after allowing five hits and one run in six innings of work back on May 20 (no decision).

After opening the season 5-0 with a 1.62 ERA in his first five outings, Charlie Morton has now gone 1-4 with a 7.76 ERA over his last six starts. Morton will be facing Minnesota for the first time in his career.
