The Red Sox were swept three straight by the Twins at Target Field in their latest series, and have dropped four consecutive road contests overall by a combined score of 20-7. Boston is 8-20 when scoring fewer than five runs in 2015 (13-6 in all other games).

Texas was blown out, 12-3, in Cleveland yesterday, snapping its season-high seven-game winning streak in the process. The Rangers are 15-8 (.652) since May 4 -- second best in the AL (Twins -- 15-6).

The Rangers took two of three from the Red Sox at Fenway Park last week, and will be facing Boston for the final time of the 2015 regular season this weekend. Texas is 17-8 at home vs. the Sox since the beginning of 2009.

Eduardo Rodriguez is set to make his MLB debut for the Red Sox tonight. Dating to the beginning of 2007, Boston has had nine different starting pitchers make their MLB debuts who combined to go 5-0 with a 5.10 ERA in those outings.

Nick Martinez went 7.0 innings and allowed just two runs (both earned) five days ago vs. the Yankees, taking the win and improving to 4-0 with a 1.96 ERA on the season. The Red Sox are the only AL East club that Martinez has never faced (1-3, 5.11 ERA vs. all others).

The Red Sox and Rangers have both allowed 10+ runs five times in 2015 -- tied for second most in the AL. Boston is one of just two MLB clubs yet to put at least 10 runs on the board in a game this season (Philadelphia is the other).
