The Rockies beat the Giants, 11-2, at Coors Field yesterday, and have now won back-to-back games for the first time since a three-game win streak, April 22-24. Colorado is just 3-12 in its last 15 road contests.

Cincinnati dropped a 5-2 decision in Cleveland on Sunday, and has now lost eight straight games overall -- tied for its longest losing streak since an 11-game skid in 1998 (June 14-24). The Reds have scored two or fewer runs 18 times in 2015 (tied for third most of any MLB team).

Colorado and Cincinnati are meeting for the first time of the season today. Dating to September 11, 2011, the Rockies and Reds have played 20 times, each club winning 10 of those contests.

Eddie Butler allowed four runs (two earned) in just 3.0 innings last Wednesday against the Phillies, dropping his fourth straight start in the process. Today will be Butler's first career outing vs. the Reds.

Jason Marquis last just 3.2 innings and allowed four runs (all earned) in his last outing five days ago vs. the Royals in Kansas City, taking the loss and dropping his third straight start. Marquis is 6-6 with a 4.09 ERA in 15 career starts against the Rockies.

Nolan Arenado went 4-for-5 with a triple and a home run yesterday, recording the fifth four-hit game of his career with the performance. Including two four-hit games, Arenado is batting .356 with two homers and five RBI the last 11 times he's faced the Reds.
