The Mariners shut the Rays out in their final two games at Tropicana Field last season. It was the first time Seattle shutout an opponent on the road in consecutive games since September 22-23, 1989 at the Royals.

The Rays have hit exactly one double in six straight games, tied for the longest such streak in franchise history. They had previously done it in April 2004, July 2007, and June 2013.

The Mariners have scored five runs or fewer in 11 straight games, the longest active streak in the majors and their longest since a 13-game string from July 13-30 of last season.
