The Mets shut out the Cardinals 5-0 on Thursday, Jacob deGrom and Jeurys Familia combining on a two-hitter. The two hits were the fewest allowed by the Mets in a game since holding the White Sox to just one hit in a 1-0, 10-inning victory on May 7, 2013.

Pittsburgh is 0-6 in extra-inning games this season after losing to Minnesota 4-3 in 13 innings on Wednesday. The six extra-inning losses are tied with Oakland for the most in the majors.
