The Rays took three out of four from the Blue Jays in Toronto, April 13-16. But Toronto went 6-3 on the road against the Rays in 2014. In the clubs' last meeting at Tampa Bay (September 4), the Blue Jays came away with the 1-0 victory, Colby Rasmus supplying the lone run on a pinch-hit solo home run off Steve Geltz to lead off the top of the 10th inning.

The Blue Jays are 8-1 this season when they hit at least one home run in a game, as opposed to 1-6 when they have no homers. Toronto hit one homer -- a two-run shot by Josh Donaldson -- in its 7-6 win over the Orioles on Thursday.

Tampa Bay's 2-1 victory over Boston on Thursday was its first win this season in a game where its opponent scored first. The Rays had lost their first eight such games in 2015.

Steven Souza Jr. and Devon Travis are tied (along with Alex Guerrero, LAD) for the home lead among all rookies with four each. Travis (15) and Souza (11) also rank first and third, respectively, for RBI by a rookie.

The Blue Jays have scored 37 runs in Mark Buehrle's three starts this season, with 33 (11, 11 and 11, respectively) of those 37 runs coming while he was in the game (16.50 RSA). Since 1974, no pitcher has ever received 11 or more runs of support in four straight starts; in fact, prior to Buehrle, only three other pitchers had gotten 11+ runs of support in three consecutive starts; the last was the Cardinals' Andy Benes, June 29-July 13, 2000 (streak not broken by any relief appearances).
