The Boston Red Sox are in serious talks with free agent pitcher Ryan Dempster, according to Ken Rosenthal.
Dempster, who is said to be looking for a three year deal, went a combined 12-8 last season for the Rangers and Cubs, with a 3.38 ERA, but posted a 5.09 ERA in his 12 starts for Texas.
In his career, the Canadian right-hander has gone 124-124 in 322 career starts with 87 saves.
