Thome open to playing in 2013

The MLB's active leader in walks and strikeouts, Jim Thome recently told Jim Salisbury that he is open to a return to action in 2013. Said Thome:

"I’m not retired. "If someone wants me to play, I’d consider it for sure. I feel good. If I didn’t feel good, I wouldn’t even consider it. But I feel good. I’d like to play."

Thome says the he would probably fit best as a DH hitter but would be willing to play for a national league team if one were to come calling.
Last season, Thome split time between the the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles putting up a slash line of .252/.344/.442 with 8 home runs.
