Report: Phillies in "serious talks" for Michael Young
The Philadelphia Phillies are in "serious talks" with the Texas Rangers for Michael Young, according to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com.
If the deal can be completed, the Phillies plan is to make Young their third baseman next season. Young is owed $16 million for 2013.
Last year, the former Blue Jays draft pick hit .277 with a career low eight home runs and 67 RBI.
