Yankees claim David Herndon from Blue Jays

The New York Yankees have claimed pitcher David Herndon off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. Herndon was claimed from the Phillies by the Blue Jays last week but was not added to the 40-man roster. Herndon will not be able to pitch until June as he is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery.
In 117 career innings pitched, Herndon has a record of 2-8, a 3.58 ERA, 76 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.435.
