Rays sign Joel Peralta to two year deal

UPDATE: The Peralta deal is official according to Marc Topkin. He will make $6 million over two years with a $2.5 million option for 2015.
The Tampa Bay Rays have started their off-season shopping by bringing back a familiar face, re-signing reliever Joel Peralta to a new deal, according to The Tampa Bay Times.
Peralta appeared in 76 games last season for the Rays, recorded a 3.63 ERA in 67 innings. He also set a new career high with 84 strikeouts.
In his career, he has pitched for the Angels, Royals, Rockies and Nationals before signing with the Rays in 2011.
