Marlins' Ramirez scratched after BP ball hits nose
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Miami Marlins third baseman Hanley Ramirez has been scratched from the lineup after a ball hit him in the nose during batting practice in a cage.
Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen replaced Ramirez with Donovan Solano in Friday night's game against Tampa Bay.
``He's kind of dizzy right now,'' Guillen said about two hours before the game. ``He should be ready (for Saturday). The trainers, they think it's nothing big.''
Ramirez is hitting .259 with 11 homers and 37 RBIs this season.
Also, Miami recalled outfielder Scott Cousins from Triple-A New Orleans. He replaces outfielder Chris Coghlan, who was optioned to New Orleans after Wednesday night's game.
