Kemp continues to lead All-Star voting for NL
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Despite spending significant time on the disabled list, Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp continues to lead All-Star voting in the National League.
Kemp had 2,589,464 votes in the second update from Major League Baseball released Tuesday.
Buster Posey of the Giants overtook the Cardinals' Yadier Molina in the voting at catcher, accumulating 1,713,839 votes so far.
Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki holds the major league's narrowest lead, up about 17,000 votes over Rafael Furcal of the Cardinals.
Reds first baseman Joey Votto, Braves second baseman Dan Uggla and Mets third baseman David Wright also led their respective positions in voting.
The Cardinals' Carlos Beltran and Ryan Braun of the Brewers were second and third in outfield voting.
The All-Star Game will be played July 10 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
